On a complaint lodged by a Bishanjit Singh, a resident of Mehatiana village, the police have registered a case under against unknown assailants on the charge of attacking his son Parbhjot Singh with sharp weapons, damaging his bike bearing registration number Punjab-07BF-7577 and snatching his two mobile phones and cash. The victim sustained grievous injuries in the attack and fell unconscious. Prabhjot has been admitted to a hospital in Jalandhar where he is struggling for life and yet to gain consciousness. No arrest has been made so far in this connection.
