Mahindra University Ecole Centrale School of Engineering (MEC), Hyderabad, has launched PhD programme in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences from the 2020 academic session.

PhD programmes are offered in Computer Science, Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering disciplines and Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Applied Sciences area.

Full time PhD scholars will get an assistantship of Rs 25,000 per month plus free board and lodging. They will have to mandatorily provide Teaching Assistantship 8 hours a week. The last date to apply for this programme is June 27, 2020.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
