Akshay in a new avatar

Akshay Kumar co-stars with South-Indian actor Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan in their next film, titled Atrangi Re, by Anand L Rai. The actor shared an update on his social media accounts along with a first look photo of his character. Akshay features in the avatar of a magician in the photo – wearing a signature black hat of a sorcerer he can be seen holding the King of Hearts card. He tweeted, “It’s the last day of Atrangi Re and I can’t wait for you all to experience the magic created by Aanand L Rai.” Akshay Kumar also added a ‘thank you’ note for his co-stars, “Also a big thank you to my co-stars Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush for letting me be a part of this beautiful film.”

Sara Ali Khan also posted a long emotional post after the wrap up, along with a series of photographs with her co-stars and Atrangi Re director. She wrote, “That’s a film wrap, ek saal baad. Thank you so much @aanandlrai sir for giving me this role, this film and this opportunity. But more than that thank you for your unconditional love, unwavering support, the best India darshan, delicious khana; early morning sunrise drives to location…”
