Sony Entertainment Television’s latest offering Indiawaali Maa depicts the beautiful journey of a mother and her son. Akshay Mhatre has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the show. His character is that of a carefree boy, who struggles to face his problems.

Akshay says, “The show is high on emotions and gives away a strong message to the youth. Parents are our constant pillar of support and their love knows no bounds. Parents know us better than anyone. As kids we know that we can always fall back on them no matter what but why does this change when we become independent. I consider myself very lucky to be doing this show which highlights the love of a mother for her son.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
