All set for a digital release

Irrfan Khan’s much-awaited Angrezi Medium was released on March 13 in cinemas and just after a day, the film’s fate at the theatres was sealed with Maharashtra and other state governments announcing the shutdown of cinemas due to the coronavirus pandemic. The film marked the comeback of Irrfan Khan, who was seen on screen after a gap of two years. The makers had earlier decided to re-release the film in theatres, once cinema halls operated again, but now the film is all set to release on the digital platform.

According to a source, the film will be available on Hotstarwithin the next couple of days. Helmed by Homi Adajania, Angrezi Medium is the sequel to the 2017 film Hindi Medium. The film narrates the story of a father (Irrfan khan), who goes all out to fulfil his daughter’s (Radhika Madan) dream of studying abroad. The film also stars KareenaKapoor Khan, Deepak Dobriyal and Dimple Kapadia.
