Among many firsts, 2020 has this as well! Mumbai woke up on Monday with a major power cut across the entire city. It happened when an electricity grid failure occurred in Mumbai leaving the city with no electricity. Many people, including celebrities, took to Twitter and reacted to this electricity disruption.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “Entire city in power outage .. somehow managing this message .. keep calm all shall be well ..” While Anupam Kher tweeted, “Batti Gul #powercut”, singer Armaan Malik wrote, “Lights out #powercut” with a sad face emoji. Vir Das in his own witty way tweeted, “For the next few hours people from Mumbai will sympathise with each other, while people from Delhi judge them. #poweroutage. It’s hard to get things done in Mumbai without power. Also…the electricity is gone.”

Kangana Ranaut, who is in Manali took a dig at Aarey Metro car shed project and shared a photograph of comedian Kunal Kamra and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and wrote, “#Powercut in Mumbai, meanwhile Maharashtra government… KaKaKaKangana…” Kunal Kamra in no time replied to Kangana and wrote, “Ma’am bijli gayi idhar par fuse aapka kyon udd raha hai…”
