Actress Divvya Chouksey passed away on July 12. She was suffering from cancer. Her cousin sister Soumya Amish Verma confirmed the news on Facebook.

Divvya was a Miss India contestant in 2011, had done TV shows like MTV True Life and was also seen in the movie Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara.

She made her singing debut in 2018 with Punjabi single Patiyaale Di Queen. She took to her Instagram story on Saturday and wrote that she is on death bed and on Sunday, she passed away.

As soon as the news of Divvya’s demise surfaced, her former co-star Sahil took to his social media handle to share a throwback picture with her and also penned down a heart-warming note in her memory. Sahil wrote, “You will be missed badly by urbhaiya, Divvya. Your passion, your dream, your go-getter attitude, your positivity towards our (entertainment) industry was unmatched to anyone I have met. But maybe God had some other plans for you. I am sure you are in a better place now and in peace.”
