How Shakti Kapoor entered Qurbani...

Sony MAX2 will take Bollywood fans on a trip down memory lane to mark 40 years of the super hit film– Qurbani. It will air on Sony MAX2 on August 21 at 7 PM. The film that featured Feroz Khan, Vinod Khanna and Zeenat Aman in the lead roles also witnessed splendid performances from some of the finest actors in Bollywood like Amjad Khan, AmrishPuri, Aruna Irani, Kader Khan and a young Shakti Kapoor, who had an interesting story behind how he ended up getting the role.

Shakti Kapoor said, “During my struggling days, I was driving my 1961 model Fiat on Bandra’s Linking Road when a Mercedes in an attempt to overtake my car slightly damaged it. I was furious and got off the car to yell at the driver, but instead I was left speechless as it was Feroz Khan. All my anger vanished and instead I started requesting him for a break. I am thankful for Feroz sir’s faith in me. My performance in the movie is considered as one of my finest till date.”
