Srishti is a very relatable person. She is an educated, small-town girl with values. When it comes to love and family, she is very emotional. She only follows her heart.
Dangal is a comparatively less popular channel still the show is doing well. Why?
So, after a lot of research, I discovered that Dangal is India’s no.1 TV channel and it’s free to air in a lot of small cities. It increases our reach to the audience and small towners.
How is your working equation with your co-star Rahul Sharma?
Rahul and I are having a blast on the sets. Work doesn’t seem like work, because we enjoy performing. It’s a blessing if you get a supportive co-actor and a good performer. You get to learn every day.
How do you break the monotony of working in a daily show?
I love daily soaps. I love TV, so it doesn’t get monotonous for me. But yes, when I do get my day-offs, I love spending time with my brother and close friends.
What kind of role would you like to do in future?
Till today, whatever roles I have got to play, I have been grateful for them. I have been creatively satisfied; be it Devika in Kalash, or Roxane in Porus and now Srishti in Pyar Ki Luka Chuppi. I have played strong characters and I wish to keep the audience hooked on to whatever I play.
Who is your inspiration?
My inspiration is my mom. The learning starts from your home and I have learned so much from her. She has taught me the art of living a simple happy life, the art of never giving up, the art of always doing good for others. Only if I can be half the person my mom is I will be happy. Where my craft is concerned, I look up to Ekta ma’am (Ekta Kapoor). Whatever I am today is only because she believed in me.
