I am extremely proud of my father Pankaj Dheer. I am in this industry because of him and I genuinely hope to reach a point where I can be half as successful as my father.
How was the journey from Chennai Express to Sooryavanshi?
A learning experience! Few things went better than expected and some did not do well at all. Honestly, I am looking forward to Sooryavanshi.
Do most actors go through phases of insecurity?
If you constantly compare yourself with others or if you feel this is a race, you do feel insecure. You don’t feel that way if you realise that you are unique.
You are a celebrated actor. Is it difficult to live up to that image?
Thanks for those kind words. Fortunately for me, I am exactly the way I am no matter where I go. So, there is no pressure of maintaining an image.
You got married when you were at the peak of your career. Did it have a negative effect?
Not at all, I think those times have passed. I got married when I met the right girl. I think it was one of the best decisions of my life.
Any tips you would like to give to your fellow actors in terms of fitness?
I think they all have enough people advising them, and I am no expert. I just follow my own path. That is all!
How would you describe yourself?
I am a simple Mumbai boy, who loves martial arts and feels alive in front the camera. For me, family is the world and friends are life support. I like to keep things simple.
What is next for you?
I have a film titled Shershaah, which is slated for a July release, and a web series called Rakhtaanchal.
