Live with Sona Mohapatra

Sona Mohapatra has never shied from one-to-one engagement with her fans on social media. She recently ran a contest on her page, where her followers were asked to identify three iconic looks from her music videos and guess the songs. The first 20 to answer correctly were chosen as winners, who could send in a favourite song request.

Since many of Sona’s songs are composed by her partner Ram Sampath and both are at home for a change, she has requested Ram to join her in this live performance.

Sona says, “Apart from performing these songs acoustically, we also plan to share behind-the- scenes anecdotes of when Ram and I worked on our albums as well as films like Delhi Belly, Talaash, Fukrey, and shows like Satyamev Jayate and Coke Studio. Fans will be able to ask us questions then and there and also they can engage with each other and share feedback and banter! A unique community experience without jeopardising the idea of social distancing which is very critical for India to flatten the corona curve and conquer this crisis together. Nothing heals better than music!”
