Love knows no bounds: Chandni Sharma makes her acting debut with Ishq Mein Marjawan 2

Tell us about your debut show.

It’s the second season of Ishq Mein Marjawan. It’s a romantic thriller and the title implies that love knows no bounds. You can kill or get killed for it.

Tell us about your role.

I’m playing Vansh’s younger sister Ishani. She is a total brat. She is a fashionista, very glamorous and was born with a silver spoon.

How much do you relate to your character?

Though a brat, Ishani is very transparent. She doesn’t keep anything inside. I’m very much like that. Not a brat, but straight forward. My love for clothes, shoes, and makeup makes it easy for me to play this character.

Going by the show’s title, will you die for someone in love?

No, because there are many people who are connected to me. It would break them. And that’s not a way to prove your love for someone.

We hear there’s an interesting story behind your name.

My parents loved Sridevi ji’s movie Chandni and they decided if they ever had a girl child, they would name her after the movie. That’s how I got my name.

What do you have to say about life in the new normal?

I just hope we get over with this pandemic real soon. It’s very difficult to keep wearing masks all day. We are inhaling and exhaling the same air, which is bad for health.
