Ajay Devgn-starrer Maidaan, which was scheduled to release in cinemas on October 15, 2021, coinciding with the Dussehra weekend, has now got a new release date. Starring Ajay Devgn and Priyamani, Maidaan will now hit the screens next year on June 3. On Instagram, Ajay Devgn shared two posters of the film. The multi-lingual film is inspired by a true story and will see Ajay essaying the role of Syed Abdul Rahim.

One of the posters shows Ajay standing with a bag and an umbrella in his hand, smiling. The actor has a football under his foot. He is dressed in formal attire. Sharing the posters, Ajay wrote, “Maidaan, a story that will resonate with every Indian, a film that I feel very strongly about. Mark the date on your calendar. Releasing worldwide on 3rd June, 2022…”
