It was my first fiction show. Every actor wants to grow in life. The show was really nice but somewhere down the line I could not connect. I have always believed in doing work which interests me so I decided to leave the show.
What kind of shows interests you?
I am here to become a hero and not a heroine. I like shows with a female-dominated plot or concept.
Are you on a break or have you been auditioning?
I don’t believe in taking breaks. Unfortunately, this lockdown phase is no less than a long break. I have been auditioning from home and looking for path-defining characters to portray.
Any specific character you wish to portray?
I really wish to do a cop’s role like Rani Mukerji in Mardaani or Priyanka Chopra in Jai Gangaajal.
How has been your quarantine time?
The quarantine phase has been okay like everyone else’s. Two things that I have learnt from this phase is how important it is to help our mother at home and second is that our household help demands respect because what they do is not an easy task.
What is your take on the pay cuts which are happening of late and 90 days payment rule for actors?
Honestly, I think money is important for survival. Not every actor has a backup business. Actors should get paid by end of the month.
What is your take on web series? Any specific show you liked?
I love series like Mirzapur which is bold, yet interesting and intriguing. I like to watch criminal or thriller shows that keeps me on the edge of the seat till the end.
