Citrus time is here again and kinnow is the name of the game. This citrus fruit is juicy, delicious and as sunny as the present weather. Apart from chomping on their plump segments, I love tossing these fellas into a satisfying, healthy preparations. A citrus smoothie is tangy and satisfying. Moreover it is a great immunity booster that wards off stress.

1 cup thick yogurt, chilled

1 banana, peeled

1/2 cup almonds

Honey to taste

1 medium-sized carrot, scraped and diced

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Method

Note: Freezing the banana and using cold yogurt is an all important step. We do not wish to add ice to the smoothie. It would result in a watery drink. For active sports persons you can add a scoop of protein powder to the smoothie.
