The voter returned the blow, and the MLA’s aides joined him in launching the assault on the voter.

Other voters there seem trying to stop the assault as the MLA’s aides keep hitting the voter. In the 10-second video, no security personnel can be seen intervening to rescue the voter.

According to police, there was an argument between the MLA and the voter before Kumar hit him.

After the voter retaliated, the MLA’s supporters launched an indiscriminate attack on the voter, raining punches until police and other voters stepped in to stop the assault.

The TDP lodged a complaint with the Election Commission.

Meanwhile, police are in the process of filing FIRs. With PTI inputs
