The police have arrested two persons with drugs in two incidents.

The Jamalpur police have arrested Suraj, a resident of Khasi Kalan, Jamalpur, and seized 500 gm of opium from him. After getting a tip-off, the police set up a naka near Kakka Dhaula village and nabbed Suraj with the drug.

The suspect was sent to police remand for further interrogation.

In the other incident, the police arrested a drug peddler, Ram Chander, a resident of Kumdanpuri. The police got information that the suspect, who hails from Bihar, at present residing in Kundanpuri, was present at Ram Park, Guru Nanak Pura.

When the police searched, 15 kg of marijuana was seized from him. Following which, he was nabbed. The man was into the illegal drug trade for the past many years.
