The Health Department on Wednesday collected 16 samples of milk.

Food Safety Officer Amarjeet Kaur conducted a checking on the Dehlon-Malerkotla road in the wee hours of Wednesday.

She said samples were collected from milkmen coming to deliver milk from periphery areas. The department had received complaints about adulterated milk being sold in the city.

"Samples have been collected and sent to the food safety lab for testing and further action will be taken after arrival of reports," she said.
