The annual sports awards ceremony of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, was held on Wednesday.

During the event, 129 students were awarded for their achievements at the state-level competitions, 47 for excelling in national-level tournaments and four for making their mark during the international championship.

School alumnus Dr Monika Sharma, a renowned behavioural sleep medicine specialist and sleep advisor to the Indian contingent for Paris Olympics, was the chief guest on the occasion. She commended the school management for providing a balanced and enriching environment where sports and academics can coexist. She also expressed gratitude to the school for instilling strong values in her and providing a nurturing platform that laid the foundation for her achievements and success in life.

Principal Anuja Kaushal expressed pride and joy at the school’s exponentially rising sports achievements and congratulated the awardees. Manager of the school Capt VK Syal read out the vote of thanks.
