3 held for firing outside house at Saholi

Three of the accused have been arrested by the police led by SHO Jodhan Saheb Meet Singh from different places. The suspects were identified as Manpreet Singh Lucky of Tuggal village and Arashdeep Singh Abhi and Jagjit Singh Sunny of Akalgarh village. A fourth suspect, Gurjant Singh Goldy, is still at large.
The police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the firing incident that took place at around 10.40 pm on August 8.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ankur Gupta informed that Amrik Singh of Saholi village had lodged a complaint regarding alleged firing by four occupants of a Swift Dzire car that had stopped near his house on that fateful night.
Based on scientific and technical investigation under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Dakha, Varinder Singh Khosa, the police identified and nabbed Manpreet Singh Lucky of Tuggal and named other suspects on the basis of information extracted from him (Lucky). Some sharp weapons and car used in the crime were seized by the police while the pistol is yet to be recovered.
Varinder Khosa said the police have also zeroed in on a fourth suspect who would soon be arrested.
