Mata Kaushalya Devi Pahwa Hospital, Hambran Road, in collaboration with Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, organised a general medical camp yesterday. The camp was organised in the memory of Kaushalya Devi Pahwa, mother of Onkar Singh Pahwa, CMD, Avon Cycles Ltd, under the guidance of Dr William Bhatti, Director, Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).

Dr Ramandeep Kaur, Civil Surgeon was the chief guest on the occasion. The event was coordinated by Arun Malik, Jorawar Singh and Neeraj Kumar. Doctors from all Departments such as Medicine, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Dental, Gynaecology and Oncology of the CMCH were present at the medical camp.

Dr TS Julka from the Medicine Department, Dr Archana Singla from the Gynae Department, Dr Asusa from the Dental Department and Dr Renu from Ophthalmology Department provided their services during the camp. Total of 400 patients were examined during the camp. Ten patients underwent free cataract surgery at the CMCH. As many as 150 spectacles were distributed among patients during the camp.
