A 55-year-old man was arrested by the Machhiwara police for making an attempt to molest a six-year-old girl from his neighbourhood.

According to the girl’s mother, the incident occurred when her daughter visited a relative’s house located nearby. She alleged that the suspect, who was alone at home, called the girl to his house and attempted to molest her on his bed. The girl managed to escape and went to her mother, tearfully recounting the traumatic experience.

The mother filed a police complaint, leading to the suspect’s arrest. Investigations suggest that the man was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The police have registered a case based on her mother’s statement and are investigating the matter.
