The Institution of Engineers (India), Ludhiana local centre, celebrated the 58th Engineers’ Day with great enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary engineer and visionary M Visvesvaraya.

Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal was the chief guest at the event, while MC Additional Commissioner Paramdeep Singh graced the occasion as the guest of honour.

A distinguished gathering of serving and retired chief engineers, superintending engineers, executive engineers, SDOs, industrialists and budding engineers added prestige to the celebration.

Welcoming the dignitaries, honorary secretary, Institute of Engineers, Ludhiana, Surinder Singh, highlighted the institution’s vast network of 124 centres across 17 engineering disciplines, showcasing its commitment to advancing engineering excellence.

The celebration featured four insightful expert sessions. Dr Rajwinder Singh Bansal, HOD Civil, RGN Phagwara, shared perspectives on how deep tech was shaping India’s technology landscape. Dr Munish Jindal, CEO of Hover Robotics and co-founder of Mentor X, presented breakthrough deep tech innovations driving modern industries.

Budding engineers Mahak Kaur and Agamdeep Singh delivered thought-provoking talks on the day’s theme, inspiring fellow students.
