Extending support to those affected due to floods in different parts of the state, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, city MLAs Madan Lal Bagga, Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal, Ashok Prashar Pappi and Mayor Inderjit Kaur dispatched eight trucks, carrying relief material, to flood-hit areas from the Mayor’s camp office near Rose Garden on Tuesday.

Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar and Deputy Mayor Prince Johar were also present on the occasion. Mayor Inderjit Kaur stated that the eight trucks carried different materials, including ration kits, medicines, sanitary pads, fodder, fruits/vegetables etc. As a major loss of livestock was also being reported, four trucks filled with fodder were being sent to the flood affected areas, she said. She further stated that it would be ensured that this relief material is distributed in an efficient manner.

Cabinet Minister Aman Arora stated that it was their collective responsibility to stand in solidarity with those affected by the floods in the state.
