To ensure the victory, AAP has put 17 MLAs from different constituencies in 17 wards of Ludhiana West, who are camping here, meeting with the masses in public parks, holding meetings in support of party candidate Sanjeev Arora.
MLAs from periphery areas, who were present in Ludhiana West, exchanged wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha to their Muslim brethren in the wee hours so that they reach in their respective wards on time to meet voters.
Among others who are camping in Ludhiana include MLAs Dev Maan from Nabha, Manwinder Singh Giaspura from Payal, Jiwan Sabgowal from Gill and Jaswant Singh Gajjan Majra from Mandi Ahmedgarh.
Starting from morning till late evening, the 17 MLAs are working with “sincerity” for the AAP candidate. Talking to The Tribune, Gajjan Majra said since the day starts around 6 am due to the severe summer conditions, all try to hold meetings in public parks early in the morning.
“We visit various public parks to interact with morning walkers and other residents. Party is getting a positive response due to works accomplished by Sanjeev Arora. The campaigning slows down during peak summer hours and by evening, we again start door-to-door campaigning,” said Gajjan Majra, who is taking care of Ward 59 here.
These MLAs visit the ward assigned to them, do a series of meetings with delegates and organisations under the supervision of the CM’s office.
