Activist holds protest to clean Buddha Nullah
BJP leader and social activist Titu Baniya held a protest in his unique way outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner here today.
The activist, who had joined the BJP a few months ago, reached the Mini-Secretariat with a dholi and two bhangra artistes. The dhol was played by the dholi on the occasion. The motive of the social activist was to wake up authorities to make efforts to clean the Buddha Nullah.
He also held a placard duering the protest on which it was mentioned that on November 3, activists will cover the nullah by putting sand into it. He meant that the nullah, a bane in Ludhiana which was responsible for deteriorating the health of the masses, would be forcibly covered as the authorities had failed to come up with any solution to clean the water body.
