An alumnus of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Dr Ramawatar Yadav, has brought laurels to his alma mater by getting selected as an assistant professor in specialty crop weed science and management at the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science, Ohio State University (OSU), USA.

Following his MSc in Agronomy from PAU in 2014, he earned his PhD in weed science from the Iowa State University in 2021. He has also served as a postdoc research associate in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Wyoming, USA.

At OSU, he will be working on integrated weed management technologies in specialty crops along with teaching and extension. The main research areas will address the crop-weed antagonistic interactions with the intent of enhancing crop competitiveness and weed-crop interactions under changing climatic conditions.
