Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal led an impressive roadshow, undeterred by the rain, showcasing his unwavering commitment to the people. The event demonstrated his strong support base and determination to connect with voters despite the weather conditions. Senior party leaders, including Daljit Cheema, Sikandar Singh Maluka, Sharanjit Dhillon, Kamal Chatly, and SAD candidate Parupkar Singh Ghuman, accompanied Sukhbir Badal as they stood on an open jeep during the roadshow.

Hundreds of party workers, including women and youths, participated in the roadshow. People also waved at Badal while standing on the rooftops of their houses and outside their shops. The roadshow started from Jawahar Nagar camp and culminated at Aarti Chowk, passing through Bharat Nagar Chowk, Fountain Chowk, Maharani Jhansi Road, and Ghumar Mandi.

Party workers carrying the party flag raised slogans, including “Sukhbir teri soch te pehra dewange thok ke” and “Akali Dal di balle balle, baki sarey thale thale”. Addressing the people from the moving jeep, Sukhbir Badal, who was fully drenched in the rain, said that despite the rain, the large turnout of workers signalled that people wanted the return of Shiromani Akali Dal, Punjab’s only regional party.

Badal claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had done nothing in the past three-and-a-half years, and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had been acting as a puppet in the hands of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal. Party workers walking in the rain said, “Dekho Badal Saab de aan nal badal (baarish) bhi aa gaye, te lokan nu garmi to rahat mil gyi. Ehda hi Akali Dal di sarkar banegi 2027 ch, te lokan nu rahat milegi” (See, with the arrival of Badal Saab, rain has also come, and people have got relief from the scorching heat. Similarly, when Akali Dal forms the government in 2027, people will get relief).
