Maheshinder Singh Grewal said all the claims of the AAP government led by Bhagwant Singh Maan, which makes big claims, have fallen flat. He said big days like Dasehra, Diwali and Gurpurb where everyone wants to celebrate with their homes and their families, the government has kept the farmers harassed in the markets till now.

During this protest and demonstration Akali Dal also handed over a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
