A meeting of the Anganwari Mulazam Union was held under the leadership of Subhash Rani on Thursday in which the union members decided to hold a statewide protest at Dana Mandi here on December 8.

Subhash Rani, president of the union, said the workers were suffering for long but the government was in no mood to listen to their genuine grievances.

The workers said many of them were struggling with meagre salaries but their wages were not increased by the government, despite the fact that the demand for the same was being taken up for long.

They said they were being burdened with work but their salaries had not been raised.
