Thought-provoking Opinions, Expert Analysis, In-depth Insights and other Member Only BenefitsFormer Congress MLA Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, alias Kiki Dhillon, exposed the false claims of development carried out by the AAP government, including its health and education models, as he said Rajya Sabha member and AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora had spent only 43 per cent, ie 7.81 crore, of the 18 crore released under the MPs fund in the state. Out of this, too, he had spent only 4.81 crore on Ludhiana in three years, he added. Dhillon urged voters to take a look at Arora’s track record before voting for him as he would follow a similar model if elected.
Taking a dig at the advertisements and hoardings put up by the AAP, labelling the Congress candidate as ‘arrogant’, he said Arora was not in a place to be angry because neither had he done any work in the interest of the public, during his three-year tenure as a Rajya Sabha MP, nor had he ever approached the public prior to being declared as a candidate.
He said Arora had not spoken about the poor law and order situation in Punjab and he hadn’t opposed the appointment of the Chairman of the Industry Board from Delhi. In such a situation, if Arora became an MLA how will he protect the interests of the constituency? Dhillon asked.
