Athletics meet at vet varsity begins today

ll arrangements are in place for the 17th Athletics Meet of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, scheduled for February 19. Dr Parkash Singh Brar, Director of Students’ Welfare at the university, confirmed the details of the event. Cabinet Minister for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Food Processing, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, will inaugurate the meet at 9.30 am at the Punjab Agricultural University track. Jitendra Jorwal, Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, will be the chief guest for the prize distribution and closing ceremony.

Students from the university’s various colleges, including the College of Veterinary Science, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, and College of Dairy and Food Science Technology, will participate in the event. In addition, students fom the College of Veterinary Science in Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic in Kaljharani (Bathinda), and Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar, will also take part in the event.
