Representatives of Hindu organisations who attended the meeting include Rajiv Tandon, Amit Arora, Rohit Joshi and Rishabh Kanojia from the Shiv Sena Punjab, Sunil Tangdi from the Shiv Sena Nationalist and Chandrakant Chadha from the Shiv Sena Uddhav Bala Saheb Thackeray. Some BJP leaders were also present.

They demanded immediate arrest of the third suspect, Tehal Singh, in the case. They also demanded hearing of the case in a fast-track court.

“We demand action against persons who took responsibility on social media for hatching the conspiracy and some other Nihangs who also uploaded hate speech against Hindu leaders after the attack,” they demanded.

They also sought action against the gunman, who was present at the scene for the protection of Thapar, but failed to act. They also alleged that an attempt was being made to disturb the peaceful environment of the state at the behest of Khalistani terrorists active abroad.

The representatives said members of all Hindu organisations of the state would assemble in Ludhiana on Thursday to decide the further course of action concerning the security of their leaders.

Rajiv Tandon also raised questions over the silence of the Chief Minister over the deadly attack. Meanwhile, the CP and DCP Jaskiranjit Singh Teja assured that the third suspect would be arrested soon and investigation would be done in the matter.
