BCM College of Education, Ludhiana, emerged as the winners in the men’s section during the Panjab University Inter-College (Division-C) Volleyball Tournament held at GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar, near here on Tuesday.

In the women’s section, Government College of Yoga Education and Health, Sector 23, Chandigarh, lifted the title. In all, teams (men and women) from 14 colleges, affiliated with the Panjab University competed in the tournament.

In the men’s category, Government College of Yoga and Health, Chandigarh, and Government College of Education, Sector 20, Chandigarh, secured the second and third positions, respectively, while in the women’s section the second position was bagged by Government College of Education, Sector 20, Chandigarh, and BCM College of Education, Ludhiana, finished as the second runners-up.

Dr HS Brar, former principal of the host college along with Principal Dr Pargat Singh Garcha inaugurated the tournament. Mansa DSP Pushpinder Singh and Dr Sanjeev Chopra were the chief guests at the prize distribution function.
