BVM, BCM teams reign supreme in handball tourney

Displaying fine teamwork, the students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) Senior Secondary School, Kitchlu Nagar, and BCA Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, proved their mettle by winning top positions in the boys and girls U-19 sections, respectively, in the Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex (LSSC) Handball Tournament.

The tournament was held here at Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, in which over 300 players, comprising 10 teams in the boys’ section and eight in the girls group, took part.

The BVM School boys’ team, with players like Paras, Chirag, Sparsh, Agasteya, Kunal Thakur, Devraj Choudhary, and Divam Pawar in its ranks, proved its supremacy to clinch the gold medal. DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, and DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, secured the second and third positions, respectively.

Similarly, the girls’ team from BCM School, comprising Shreya, Delisha, Nandini, Mitali, Drishti, Riya, Ridhi Malik, and Bhavishika, came out triumphant. The second and third positions were bagged by BVM School, Kitchlu Nagar, and DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, respectively.

Ranju Mangal, Principal, BVM School, Kitchlu Nagar, congratulated the students on emerging the winners. She also appreciated their coach, Ramandeep Sharma, for his guidance and said that it was his hard work that made this achievement possible.
