A meeting was convened on Thursday under the chairmanship of Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) for Ludhiana West, Navraj Batish, who also serves as the General Manager, Punjab Roadways. Representatives from all recognised political parties attended the meeting.

The AERO welcomed attendees and briefed them on directives issued by the Election Commission. The meeting focused on the draft publication of the electoral roll for the Ludhiana West constituency, which was completed on April 9. The AERO shared details of claims and objections received post-publication and urged representatives to review the lists on the website of the CEO, Punjab. Copies of Forms 9, 10, 11, 11A, and 11B were distributed among all attendees for reference.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
