As campaigning has picked up pace, huge posters with catchy slogans and sharp messages can be seen dotting the constituency. Ashu’s campaign is centered around the development issue while Arora’s campaign tries to showcase him as a down-to-earth person and easily approachable.

Arora’s hoardings’ say, “na gussa na hankar, Sanjeev Arora iss vaar” (no anger, no ego, Sanjeev Arora this time) and is a direct attack on Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s past controversies due to his aggressive behaviour. On the other hand, Ashu’s posters and hoardings read “For development and trust, Ashu is must”, focussing on the development work done by him in the past and his future vision for the constituency.

Arora allocates time to meet people, listen to their grievances and implement solutions, reinforcing his reputation as a development focussed leader. His calm and composed behaviour in public is the main wooing factor.

He said, “I am deeply committed to the people of Ludhiana. My role as an MP and now as a candidate for Ludhiana (West) is not just about winning an election, it’s about continuing the work of development and ensuring that every citizen’s voice is heard and addressed.”

Clean policies, public welfare and development are the main agendas of the Congress candidate. Despite being in the opposition, the West constituency saw development, which people have taken note of. The aim is to let the development reach each and every house, says Ashu.

“The incidents of looting are increasing in Punjab under the present government and people are living in an atmosphere of fear. Incidents of robbery and looting have been continuously rising under the current government in Punjab, which need to be curbed,” he added.
