Ludhiana: The Spring Manifesto Festival was held at the cemetery park at SCD Government College, Ludhiana, wherein more than 60 stalls were put up by students from different streams. The park was filled with students and visitors, and the main attraction was the stalls of handmade goods and bakery food items. The event was coordinated by Prof Neelam Bhardwaj and Prof Ira Deep from the college’s Innovation Council, Women Development Forum, and Research Development Cell. Prof Chamkaur Singh from the team of the cultural activities department also enthralled the visitors with songs. Boys and girls also engaged in a ramp walk in the open-air environment, which attracted a widespread audience. A student sang a beautiful song, ‘Apna Punjab Hove, Hath Vich Kitab Hove,’ written by a college alumnus, Jaswant Jafar. The Alumni Association’s Organising Secretary, Brij Bhushan Goyal, who was also the guest of honour at the event, distributed handouts titled “Starting Your Own Enterprises.”
