Campus notes: HVM Convent School
Ludhiana: HVM Convent Senior Secondary School, Karamsar Colony, New Subhash Nagar, Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana, announced the annual examination results of its foundational stage students for the 2024-25 academic year. School president DP Sharma, chairman S Dilbag Singh, and other members of the management extended their heartfelt congratulations to all the students and their families for their hard work and expressed delight at the students’ achievements, stating, “We are incredibly proud of our foundation stage students. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn have been truly inspiring. This milestone marks the beginning of a lifelong learning journey, and we are committed to providing them with the best educational foundation.” The young learners showcased remarkable progress and enthusiasm in their early education, demonstrating strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social development.
Kamla Lohtia SD College
An inter-class paper reading competition was organised by the Department of Punjabi at Kamla Lohtia Sanatan Dharam College, Ludhiana. Around 20 students from various streams participated in the event. The purpose of the contest was to improve the proficiency of students in reading Punjabi . Navdeep of BCom I was declared first, while Muskan of BA I and Jasmeen of BCom I were declared second and Sneh of BCom I came third in the competition. The winners were awarded certificates. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Mohd Saleem felicitated the young students for their enthusiastic participation and motivated them to use their mother tongue—Punjabi—as an effective means for communication.
GHG Khalsa College
GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, organised its annual convocation on March 20 to celebrate the academic achievements of its students. Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, was the chief guest on the occasion. This annual event brought together students, faculty, alumni, and distinguished guests to mark the successful completion of their academic journey. Principal of the Education College, Pargat Singh Garcha, opened the ceremony by extending a warm welcome and congratulatory message to the graduates, their families, and the faculty. Satwinder Kaur, Principal, Pharmacy College, presented brief annual reports of all three colleges. Prof Inderjeet Singh, Principal, Degree College, urged the graduates to stay connected with the college community and to give back in meaningful ways. Degrees were conferred upon 217 students of the Education College, 107 of the Degree College and 130 students of the Pharmacy College across various disciplines. Students who had excelled in academics at the university level were also honoured.
