Canter driver dies in road accident

A canter driver died in a road accident near Bhadla village in Khanna on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Anwar Ali, a resident of Haripur Barwala Road, Dera Bassi. His helper, Lucky, a resident of Chandigarh, suffered serious injuries in the mishap. The collision was so severe that the front cabin of the canter was badly damaged. The driver of the vehicle got stuck in the cabin. Road Safety Force Sub-Inspector Sukhdev Singh said his team reached the spot after getting information from the control room. They pulled out the driver from the cabin. They shifted the canter driver and the helper to the hospital, where Anwar was declared dead on arrival.
