Cricket Academy of Patiala (CAP) recorded an emphatic 129-run win over GNSA Cricket Academy in the opening league (pool A) match in the First Sodhi Inter-Academies (U-18) Cricket Tournament that began at Sodhi Cricket Academy ground, Golf Link on Hambran Road here on Thursday.

Batting first, CAP scored 207 runs in 39.1 overs. The main architects of their innings were skipper Arvind Singh Dhillon, along with Noorveer Singh and Gurnoor Singh, who chipped in with 70, 53 and 52 runs, respectively.

In reply, GNSA Academy could muster only 78 runs in 21.2 overs in which their captain was the highest scorer (22 runs). For the winning side, Dakeshesh and Kunwarbir Singh captured three wickets each, while Vansh grabbed two.
