A short circuit was believed to be the suspected cause of the fire.
As the incident was reported to the Fire Department, a tender quickly arrived and took approximately an hour to fully extinguish the intense blaze. No one suffered injuries in the incident.
Fire officials said that the fire erupted suddenly, while the vehicle was in motion. The driver narrowly escaped, managing to exit the car just before the flames engulfed it entirely. Preliminary investigations point toward a fault in the vehicle’s electrical system likely a short circuit being the trigger.
One fire tender was used to bring the fire under control, stated Fire Officer Surinder Singh at the site.
