Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi kick-started a major project to build a road on the other side of the Buddha Dariya here on Monday.

Under the project, a concrete road would be constructed along the Buddha Dariya from Gurdwara Gau Ghat Sahib to Madhopuri Puli. The project is being built up at a cost of around Rs 40 lakh.

Accompanied by Ward 10 councillor Pardeep Sharma Gabbi, MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi said the project would be a major relief for residents as it will streamline traffic movement and reduce congestion in the nearby areas.

The MLA Prashar further stated that the remaining stretches on the other side of Buddha Dariya would also be constructed in the coming time.
