City’s JEE toppers aim for IIT-Bombay

Vaibhav Jain and Bhavika made the city proud by achieving AIR 137, and 381, respectively, in the JEE Advanced results announced today. Both toppers expressed their aspirations of pursuing computer science engineering from IIT-Bombay.

The younger son of a fancy yarn manufacturer, Jain, is confident that we would fly across the world in search of excellence in computer engineering, though, he said, his short-term goal was to pursue an undergraduate course at IIT-Bombay. Vaibhav scored 272 out of 360 marks in the exam.

Having received coaching at Akash Institute, Jain, a student of Indus World School, attributed his success to consistency, hard work, dedication and the willingness to step out of his comfort zone.

“Though it is too early to decide about the distant future I am sure that with the blessings of my parents and teachers I can achieve the highest target on this planet,” said Jain paying gratitude to his father and mother, who he said, were the driving force behind his success.

A student of DAV School, Pakhowal Road, Bhavika fetched laurel to her parents by securing AIR 381in the JEE Advances examination declared today. The daughter of a senior merchandiser, Rajiv Kanwar, and hpme-maker Amita, Bhavika also aspired to pursue computer engineering in IIT-Bombay. Besides being devoted to excellence in academics, she is fond of reading books and listening to music.

To manage time well Bhavika said he studied at night as there was minimum disturbance as compared to daytime. She said she was proud to be the elder child of her parents, who made several sacrifices in their social life to enable her to devote the maximum attention to her studies during crucial periods.
