The Jagraon Sadar police registered a case against three persons who looted a student of PCTE College of a mobile phone, wallet and other valuables.

Complainant Rajbir Singh, a resident of Gagra village, told the police that he was a student of BCom second year at the PCTE College, Baddowal. On January 29, he was going to his house on a Honda Activa scooter. When he reached near Kothe Khanjuran around 7.30 pm, three motorcycle-borne youths kicked his scooter due to which he fell in the fields. When he protested their move, they thrashed him and snatched his mobile phone, purse and other valuables.

After committing the crime, they fled the scene on their motorcycle (bearing registration number Punjab 10 DL 5393).

The complainant said during investigation, he himself identified the suspects as Ramandeep Singh, alias Lavi, of Hans Kalan, Sukhdeep Singh of Dholan and Gugu of Atiana village.

The police are conducting raids to nab the trio.
