Addressing the agitating teachers, Gurvinder Singh, state president of the union, said despite promises made by the government, demands of the computer teachers had not been fulfilled.

The main demands of the teachers include implementation of the Punjab Civil Service Rule and Sixth Pay Commission, benefits to be given in case of death of an employee, etc.

fulfilled,” said a protesting teacher.

The union has decided to further intensify its struggle. In coming days, more protests will be

held at various places, including Chandigarh.
