During the inspections, the ADCP-4 held detailed discussions with jewellery shop owners regarding their security arrangements. Essential instructions were issued regarding CCTV camera coverage, footage storage systems, night-time security measures, panic alarm systems and strong locking mechanisms.

ADCP Vaibhav Sehgal said jewellery shops and major business establishments were often considered soft targets by criminals. Hence, high-quality CCTV cameras, 15–30 days of footage storage, and 360° coverage inside and outside the shops were deemed essential.

He added that strong security arrangements not only helped prevent crimes but also significantly assisted in investigations.
