The Skill Development Centre, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organised a one-day training course on ‘nutrition garden model for rural, urban and peri-urban areas’ for schoolteachers under the guidance of Dr MS Bhullar, Director of Extension Education.

Dr Rupinder Kaur, Associate Director (Skill Development), highlighted that the course would help teachers to guide students regarding establishment and maintenance of nutrition garden in schools.

Dr Dilpreet Talwar from the Department of Vegetable Science discussed the importance of horticultural crops with respect to nutrition. Dr Jaswinder Singh Brar from the Department of Fruit Science briefed description about the fruit nutrition garden model suitable for schools. — TNS
