DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, emerged winners in the Zonal Cricket Tournament (Boys’ U-17), Ludhiana-I, organised by the Punjab Education Department at the Phalai Sahib Sports Stadium, Dulay village, near Alamgir. Seventeen schools participated, with each match consisting of ten overs per side.

DAV began their campaign in emphatic fashion, thrashing BCM School, Lalton Kalan, by ten wickets. They restricted their opponents to just 28 runs and chased the target in four overs without losing a wicket.

In the quarter-final, DAV defeated BCM School, Basant City branch, by nine wickets, while in the semi-final they edged past BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, in a super over to book a place in the final against Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park.

In the title clash, DAV posted 75 runs before restricting their opponents to 65, sealing a win. The school management congratulated the team and coach Amandeep Singh for their achievement.
