Ludhiana District Education Officer (Elementary Education) Ravinder Kaur met with a group of Centre Head Teachers (CHTs) at a local Meritorious School on the quality of education and infrastructure offered at different schools in the district.

She issued instructions to the teachers for the implementation of ‘Foundation Literacy and Numeracy’ under the NCERT project for qualitative education for pre-primary to Class II children and daily monitoring of work on the syllabus and skills between grades III and V. Instructions regarding cleanliness and maintenance in the school were also issued.

She heard about the best practices of the school from CHTs so that the same could be implemented in other schools. The problems faced by teachers were also heard by the district officials and they were assured the department would find feasible solutions.
